The goal

Sell the feeling of living there, not the floor plan

Dubai real estate videos tend to look the same: fast drone flyovers and generic luxury shots. Clematis needed a high-end brand film to reach international buyers who have seen all of that before.

The brief I set was to tell a calm, premium story about architecture and lifestyle. Instead of touring empty rooms, the film shows light moving across stone, the warmth of an interior, and the city coming alive at night.

The challenge

Three tensions to resolve

Pacing

Grab attention in the first three seconds without losing the slow, high-end feel a luxury brand needs.

Warmth

Balance large concrete buildings with close human details: sunlight, stone textures, warm interiors.

Format

Make one shoot feel native in wide 16:9 for presentations and vertical 9:16 for Instagram and TikTok.

How it was built · Edit & rhythm

A film in three chapters

The 90 second cut moves from stillness to energy. It opens on quiet skyline views, builds speed through interior details, and closes on lively nighttime scenes. Every cut lands on a beat of the music, so the pace rises with the score.

How it was built · Color grade

From midday glare to golden hour

  • Harsh midday desert light flattened the architecture, so the grade started by pulling back the washed-out skies.
  • Warm gold and amber were pushed into the stone and interiors, with a deep blue held in the shadows and sky.
  • The result has a softer, filmic look that stays consistent across every chapter and cutdown.

Type that lives on the building

Square footage and locations were tracked directly onto building walls, so the information sits inside the architecture instead of floating over it. The facts read cleanly without breaking the mood.

The film closes on a simple, smooth animation of the Clematis logo, kept restrained to match the pace of the edit.

Shots were composed with both crops in mind, so the vertical cutdowns feel native on Instagram and TikTok rather than cropped from a widescreen master.
