Overview
Leading Haleon's biggest global event — Growing at Haleon with Employees (GAHW) 2024 — was a high-stakes challenge that put my leadership and problem-solving skills to the test, transforming chaos into a seamless, online-hybrid experience for 20,000+ attendees worldwide. This flagship virtual and in-person gathering united Haleon's global workforce, top executives, and external speakers to foster growth, collaboration, and innovation in everyday health.
As lead designer, I was awarded for my outstanding design contributions — rallying teams, digging into user pain points from past events, and delivering solutions that kept everyone aligned, proving my ability to drive massive projects from vision to victory.

Design Skills in Action
Every dimension of this project demanded a different creative muscle.
Brand Design
Developed a cohesive visual identity system — colour palette, typography, iconography, and motion language — that unified 20,000+ touchpoints across digital and physical formats.
Art Direction
Set the creative vision and directed two external agencies — cinematography, photography, social media and live-hosting — ensuring every frame matched the 'Empowering Growth' brand narrative.
User Understanding
Led post-event research from past iterations to surface friction points — confusing schedules, poor accessibility, speaker disconnect — and translated those insights directly into design decisions.
Problem Solving
When external speaker conflicts arose, personally drafted bios, renegotiated time slots, and re-synced the full production pipeline — converting potential crises into polished event highlights.
The Challenge
4-Week Runway
From initial brief to live event in just 4 weeks — designing the brand system, building the website, directing video production, and managing two agencies simultaneously, with zero room for delay.
Hybrid Format Complexity
Balancing in-person executive experiences with remote global attendees required a design system that worked flawlessly across contexts — from large auditorium screens to mobile phones in different time zones.
Solving Inherited Pain Points
Past events revealed deep frustrations — attendees felt lost in clunky interfaces, confused by schedules, and disconnected from speakers. I led user research to surface these issues and designed solutions that directly addressed each one.
Coordinating at Scale
Wrangling an internal design team and two third-party agencies — one for production & social media, one for live hosting — while staying in sync with Haleon's top executives. I served as the central creative hub, setting clear brand guidelines and holding daily stand-ups.
Rallying the Team
I stepped up as the central creative hub for a 15-person cross-functional operation — setting brand standards, managing timelines, and aligning four distinct groups toward a single cohesive vision.
Executive Stakeholders
Maintained direct communication with Haleon's top executives to align the creative vision with corporate strategy and messaging.
Live Hosting Agency
Coordinated with the live-hosting partner for seamless hybrid broadcast — briefing on tone, timing, and on-screen branding.
Production Agency
Directed the external agency responsible for shooting, editing, photography, and social media — ensuring every asset matched brand standards.
Internal Design Team
Set daily stand-ups, brand guidelines, and creative direction to keep the in-house team aligned across all event touchpoints.

Live event stage – Growing at Haleon Week, Sept 2024
Design Process: Event Website
A structured, user-first approach to building the digital backbone of the event.
Prototyping the Event Hub
Sketched the first wireframes and turned them into a rough UI.
Partnered with the SharePoint team to map platform capabilities.
Established the information architecture for schedules, speakers & sessions.
Testing & Iterating
Ran internal test sessions to validate navigation flow and functionality.
Collected structured feedback and mapped it to design revisions.
Updated UI components prior to official launch based on real user input.
Final Integration
Added speaker bios, event visuals, and all session links.
Ensured full mobile-responsiveness for a global audience.
Synced video content, on-demand replays, and live stream embeds.
